Hello to everyone reading this! We are super excited for the new year and all the opportunities that we have for us! As the warm weather approaches in the Midwest, we have a LOT to prepare for. This Winter, we have been staying warm in our home; answering hundreds of messages/comments/emails daily, editing videos (even footage from 2024!), scheduling speaking events, speaking at schools/Neville/other venues, shipping out orders from our website, washing lures & bottles, re-hooking custom lures and regular lures, spending time with family, getting new sponsors and much more. We are VERY thankful for EVERYONE... from you to our sponsors, who help us keep doing this FULL TIME.
The 2026 Spring Walleye Run is at our doorstep, and I will be diving again shortly; cleaning up underwater and removing fishing line and lures. We then get them cleaned up, bagged, priced and place them in the toy hauler shop for sale. The water temperature is about 36 degrees in the Fox River (where I usually start diving first) and it's still about 33 degrees in the Menominee River. Since the Fox River flows from the South, the warmer weather melts the ice faster. The Menominee River flows from the North and there is a LOT of snow up there still! Even when we cannot get in the water, we are on the banks, cleaning up all the fishing line and litter left behind by anglers and the water level changes.
In 2026, we have done one cleanup so far. We cleaned up the rocks by the Menominee River dam on the Menominee, MI side. We also cleaned up the Lighthouse parking lot in Menominee. We removed several bags of litter and its a shame to see all the alcohol containers that are left behind in the parking lot!! We will be speaking at the Resch Expo in Green Bay soon and look forward to speaking in front of about 800 people for the WRWA event. Our schedule will also be taking us to Shawano, WI for a public speaking event (and Meet & Greet), Minocqua, WI for a big cleanup (old boathouse that burned down and is 20 feet underwater), Rhinelander, WI for a speaking event and river cleanups, along with several other cleanups in between and after.
Since we run Bieber's Underwater Recovery LLC, we will also be getting flooded with recovery requests for rings, fishing rods, cell phones, motors, keys, watches and much more! There's never a dull moment and it's a FULL GO!! We receive requests to find items all over the Midwest and even as far as the East and West coasts. In reality though, we charge by the hour for our driving and diving, so we tell many folks to contact a scuba shop closer to them for assistance and to save money. Best piece of advice we can give you:
LEAVE ALL YOUR IMPORTANT BELONGINGS AWAY FROM THE WATER!
We look forward to what 2026 has to bring and cannot wait to find a LOT more treasures and clean up litter that has been building up over the past 100 some years. If ya see us traveling on the road or in your town, be sure to give us a wave or a "HI"! Be safe out there and thanks for all your support! If you'd like to support us more, you can purchase items from our SHOP or even DONATE (icon is on the home page). THANK YOU!
